Daun
The individual purchase of selected foodstuffs and luxury foods in a quiet, stylish place as well as the enjoyment of a fresh cup of coffee - that's what you'll find in the Dauner coffee roastery. When fresh roasted fragrance flows through Daun, the interested guest will find the tasteful rooms straight away. Ten different types of country coffee and five aromatic coffee and espresso blends are traditionally roasted here. Almost without exception, these are Arabica varieties that coffee connoisseurs prefer.
Specialties to linger
You can of course enjoy the freshly roasted coffee on site in a cozy atmosphere. A large selection of different and unusual coffee specialties is offered, such as. e.g. Latte chocchiato, spicy cappuccino, aroma pair cappuccino. "Non-coffee drinkers" are spoiled with special drinking chocolates and selected Ronnefeldt teas. Vinegars and oils A selection of special, aromatic vinegars and versatile oils, also for filling, as well as selected delicatessen products (pesti, dips, pasta and mustard specialties from the Eifel) complete the offer. The customer receives usage tips and recipes for all products.
The coffee roasting process
In contrast to large coffee roasters, the Dauner coffee roaster roasts small batches of 5 to 10kg at temperatures around 200 ° C and long roasting times between 15 and 25 minutes. In addition to the selection of fine green coffee, the gentle roasting process is particularly beneficial for the development of the fine aroma components and the digestibility of the coffee. Coffee is a fresh product. That is why the Daun coffee roaster roasts at least two to three times a week. Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., interested parties are invited to watch.
