Eifel-Blick "Wolfshügel" in Simmerath-Einruhr
Simmerath
At a height of 360m, the “Eifel-Bick Wolfshügel” lies high above Einruhr. This exposed location allows a fantastic view of the lovely Eifel village. A unique distant view extends across the village over the Obersee to the Buhlert forest area. The Rur Bridge, visible in the foreground, was built in the 19th century and was the first stone bridge to cross the Rur.
The on-site panorama board helps with orientation and provides useful information about the visible landscape.
The “Eifel-Blick Wolfshügel” can only be reached on foot. From the “Rur bridge” in Einruhr, follow the path markings for the Eifelsteig and after a short, steep climb, you reach the viewpoint. Parking is available at the bridge in Simmerath-Einruhr as well as in the village.
A visit can be combined with a hike. The Eifelsteig and the local hiking trail “Püngelbach” (No. 75) lead directly past the Eifel-Blick.
