Throughout the year the altitude between 170m and 564m offers a variety of hiking opportunities which often lead to traces of the battle of 2nd world war.
The national park information point in Zerkall is pear for canoeing. It is also the start of the historical-literally hikingtrail. Close to the state-approved resorts Simonskall and Vossenack is the only education trail on soil in NRW. It offers exciting insights on a sensible ecosystem. Try also the "Höhenerlebnispfad" in Raffelsbrand.
