The nature reserve "Ginsterheiden Irsental" is characterized by its steppe lawns, hawthorn bushes and the gorse bushes that bloom golden in spring - the "Eifelgold".
Short distances connect the individual plant and animal communities. Exploring with children or inexperienced hikers becomes an entertaining walk. The numerous hiking trails allow a good insight into the different cultures and societies of flora and fauna. A separately laid out area with a small reservoir and picnic areas on the northeastern edge of the nature reserve invites you to relax and unwind. The nature reserve has an area of around 80 hectares and is accessible all year round and can be explored on your own or with an expert guide.
