Rastplatz Tiere der Vulkaneifel
Bleckhausen
A rest area focussing on the region's wildlife, complemented by wooden figures and information boards, is an attractive attraction for visitors and hikers on the HeimatSpur Wacholder-Kyll trail.
Handcrafted wooden sculptures of local animals, such as red deer, wild boar, foxes, eagle owls and roe deer, are scattered around the rest area. The figures are life-size or slightly oversized to impress children and adults alike and make the biodiversity of the region tangible.
Take a break at the Animals of the Volcanic Eifel rest area and enjoy the hike along the Wacholder-Kyll Trail.
