Schwarzenberg-Kapelle Kelberg

Schwarzenberg-Kapelle Kelberg

Kelberg

On the 562 m high Schwarzenberg, hidden in the forest, there is a chapel dedicated to the Sorrowful Mother of God. The Schwarzenberg Chapel was built in 1719. The altar with the Pietà in the middle section is framed by the saints Aloysius (right) and Augustine. Plaques of thanks and crutches on the walls indicate that the Schwarzenberg Mother of God was called upon and helped when she was sick. Next to the chapel is the heroes' cemetery with the graves of the soldiers who died in Kelberg in World War II. A little below there is the memorial for the soldiers of the First and Second World Wars.
