Spielzeugmuseum "Ludwig Caratiola"
Kruft
The toy museum and the artist's studio are located in the former Catholic kindergarten right next to the rectory in Kruft.
Ludwig Caratiola's private toy museum houses toys from the period of the First World War to the 1970s, in Years of collecting at flea markets and many things have been lovingly restored.
The focus is on mechanical toys and wind-up figures, slot-car models, some of which are self-built, but also knight's castles, knight and Indian figures, animals made of mass and plastic. Railways, highways, tin toys, sewing machines and board games can also be found, so that some visitors feel as if they were back in their childhood.
Since it is a private initiative with no income, there is no entry fee, but there are also no fixed visiting hours. Visits are possible after prior telephone registration, also for children and groups.
