The Cave, Boulderhalle & Bistro in Wittlich

Wittlich

What exactly is bouldering? "Bouldering" comes from the English language and means "rock". It means climbing without rope and harness at jump height above a soft ground mat. Bouldering is not only fun for young and old, but also promotes body and mind in equal measure by training strength, coordination, agility and an inner focus. Hardly any other sport demands so many muscle groups at the same time and gives you the courage to go to your personal limits - or even beyond. Advantage: You don't need a rope or belay or a climbing partner, so even as an absolute beginner you can just drop by and get started. You won't stay alone for long anyway, as bouldering is a very communicative sport.

THE CAVE YOUR BOULDER HALL IN WITTLICH The friendly and familiar atmosphere in the Cave invites not only die-hard boulderers but also families with children. In our children's area, even the youngest ones get their money's worth. While enjoying a cup of coffee or a cool soda, you can also just make yourself comfortable in our cave bistro and read a book. In summer our small outdoor chill area invites you to sunbathe and have a nice chat with friends.

We are looking forward to your visit!

Sterenbachsee

The Sterenbachsee is picturesquely situated between Wittlich and Wengerohr and, surrounded by trees, is a popular local recreation area for walks or as a running track for guests and citizens. The reservoir is 400 metres long and a maximum of 160 metres wide. It is crossed from north to south by the Sterenbach stream, whose outflow is first channelled through pipes under the motorway and later flows into the Lieser. Swimming in the lake is prohibited. Fishing is permitted. Fishing licences are available from the tourist information office in Wittlich on presentation of a federal fishing licence.
