The High Eifel route

Urft

Majestic beech trees, breathtaking views onto three reservoirs and the rough charm of bizarre rock formations: the 230 kilometre-long Eifel-Höhen, or High Eifel route is a diverse and physically challenging circular tour through and all around the Eifel National Park. When cycling across the heights, you see breathtaking panorama views, and discover the charm of the water landscape along the Olef dam and Eifeler Seenplatte lakes. On the Urfsee lake route, the tour then takes you to the heart of the Eifel National Park.
The proximity to the Cologne-Trier train route and to the Rur valley railway makes the tour less demanding. The Eifel-Höhen route can be joined at any point.

Event tip: Tour de Ahrtal cycle experience day - car-free cycling for the whole family in the Ahr valley!
