Venn-Eifel-Mosel
Trier
This circular route connects the Vennbahn with the Kyll and Moselle cycle paths and leads back to the Vennbahn via the Sauer, Prüm, Enz and Eifel-Ardennes cycle paths.
For over a hundred years, the Vennbahn was the iron link between the coal fields of Aachen and the north of Luxembourg. The former industrial connection brought prosperity and progress with its trains. Today, rails and sleepers have made way for a relaxed cycle tour through this unique landscape along the German-Belgian border. Follow the valleys of the Sauer, Prüm, Nims, Enz, Kyll and Moselle rivers on your cycle tour through the Eifel. Along vineyards, hop fields and orchards, you will recognize the ingredients that will end up on your plate and in your glass in the evening. Your natural doping: water from the mineral and carbonated springs of the Vulkaneifel.
Cross national borders, explore castles and palaces, travel through original Eifel villages and historic towns.
The "Venn-Eifel-Mosel" cycle tour is signposted with its own route logo.
