Wäschebachbrücke
Manderscheid
The Wäschebach bridge had to be rebuilt after the floods in summer 2021. The search was on for a long-term solution that would be flood-resistant. Since 18 May 2022, it has now been ceremonially opened as a suspension rope bridge made of galvanised steel.
The bridge leads both hikers and climbers on the Burgenklettersteig to their destination over the water. With a length of 35 metres and a height of approx. 8 metres above the Lieser River, it is both a highlight and a swinging experience.
