Birresborn

A highlight on the Bertrada Tour hiking trail is the XXL bench. From here you have a wonderful view of the magnificent Eifel around Birresborn and of the extinct volcano Kalem.

The huge bench is located where Adam & Eve used to stand. Follow these signs. Parking is available at the Birresborn Ice Caves hikers' car park. From here, the XXL bench is approx. 2 km away.

Altstraßbach spring

The spring at the Altstraßbach was captured in the 1940s during construction work for the Westwall.

Lindenquelle

The existence of the village Birresborn was documented for the first time in 721. The name "Birgisburias" can be translated as "good source". Numerous finds in the area of the source evidence that this source was already known to the Romans.
