The 7-village trail begins and ends in Baar-Wanderath, but can also be started from any other point along the route and can also be divided into several stages. The trail also leads hikers through juniper heath areas and to a holy hut, which has always been an invitation to pause for a moment.

Along the way, benches at various vantage points invite visitors to enjoy the charming landscape and the magnificent views over the picturesque landscape of the Vordereifel.

The 7-village trail has a total length of around 13 kilometers and runs through extensive wooded areas and romantic stream valleys. The total walking time is around 3.5 hours.

The trail can also be shortened by taking the 7-village trail GREEN ROUND and the 7-village trail BLUE ROUND.
