Arfter Runde - roter Punkt - Rundwanderweg in Arft/ Eifel
Arft
The route starts and ends at the parking lot on the Raßberg.
After crossing the L10, the trail first leads downhill before turning right to the summit of Kindgen. Here, at the highest point of the hiking trail, there is a fantastic view over the volcanic Eastern Eifel and the "Heidetümpel", a unique biotope.
Along the edge of the forest, the route first leads downhill, then continues to the right to the Wolfsberg viewpoint and into the middle of the juniper heaths. After circling the Wolfsberg, the trail heads back towards the L10 and then loops into a sparse wooded area.
From here, the trail continues to the right down to the village of Arft. The Eifelschenke inn in Arft is a good place to stop for refreshments.
After a short ascent, the route continues along the Quellenweg to the "Alter Wasserhäuschen", the source of the Arfter Bach stream. The route then leads slightly uphill and along a farm track back to the starting point at the parking lot on the Raßberg.
The "Arfter Runde" is marked by the hiking logo of the local community of Arft with a red dot.
Please download the gpx track and the map of the route in advance, as the signposting may be incomplete in some areas.
To navigate using the gpx track, we recommend using the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour Planner app.
After downloading the app and clicking on the gpx track on this page, the correct route will automatically open in the app. By tapping on the three dots at the top right of the app display and confirming by clicking on the "Save offline" tab, you can navigate the route even without network reception.
Only stay on the marked paths.
Especially in the fall, be aware that leaves lying on the ground can hide bumps, roots, etc. on the path.
