Bitburger LandGang- Kreuzweg-Schleife - Seffern and Sefferweich circular route
Seffern/Sefferweich
The Bitburger LandGang "Stations of the Cross Loop" connects the "sibling villages" Seffern and Sefferweich. A Way of the Cross tells the story of the two villages between rivalries and similarities.
The approximately 6.2 km long Bitburger LandGang "Kreuzweg-Schleife" connects the sibling villages "Seffern and Sefferweich".
Today, the places in the valley of the Nims are connected by a Way of the Cross. The crosses from the sandstone quarrying of the region are testimonies of old times.
The route starts at the parish church "St. Laurentius" in Seffern and leads you along the Way of the Cross up to the heights to the final chapel.
The ascent is worthwhile, a magnificent panoramic view over the Nimstal awaits you and a resting bench in front of the chapel invites you to linger.
Then continue to Sefferweich, where a beautiful village church awaits you.
The way back to Seffern leads you through the forest past the course of the river Nims.

- Parish church "St. Laurentius" from the 16th century.
