Genuss zu Fuß (Pleasure by foot)
kerpen
Experience culinary delight on foot!
The hiking trail “Genuss zu Fuß” in Gerolsteiner Land in the Vulkaneifel gives a slightly different feeling of hiking. Just seven kilometres long, you have the opportunity to stop at three different suppliers and enjoy the culinary variety.
We recommend starting the hike in Kerpen. The “Kleine Landcafé” is an ideal starting point. From here it goes down the Fritz-von-Wille-Straße into the village. The castle sits majestically above the small Eifel community. We turn our eyes to the right and leave Kerpen on the path marked with the logo “Genuss zu Fuß” in the direction of Niederehe. Once here, the Landgasthof Schröder with its idyllic beer garden is ideal for a culinary stop. We follow the road markings through the village. Now it goes uphill with a magnificent panoramic view over the beautiful Eifel landscape. Forest and juniper pastures alternate and soon the village of Loogh is in front of us. Here it is worth a break in the Gröner Hof. A cheese shop, restaurant and farm shop invite you to join us. Well strengthened it goes through the small village uphill again, sometimes through the forest, sometimes over meadows to the starting point to Kerpen.
The trail is marked with its logo in both directions and the entrance is possible at any place.
Please inform yourself about the opening hours of the restaurants before you start hiking.
