EifelSchleife Milchweg
Kall
Where does our milk come from? Hikers of all ages can get to the bottom of this question on the 6.8 km circular trail from Steinfeld Monastery in Kall. Under the motto "Milch macht Ku(h)lturlandschaft", eight information boards along the trail provide information on how healthy milk and dairy products are, how a dairy cow produces milk from grass and how agriculture is committed to protecting the environment and species.
Follow cow Lotte, who will accompany you along the way and always has exciting stories and questions for you.
Out and about with children? Watch colorful spotted cows chewing their cud at a leisurely pace or let your gaze wander over the vast fields. The German-Belgian High Fens - Eifel Nature Park awaits with impressive views of the Eifel, varied nature and rare animal and plant species.
With an all-terrain baby carriage, children can also hike the EifelSchleife. From Steinfeld Monastery, it is advisable to start in the opposite direction - then the path is even easier to negotiate with a baby carriage.
The starting and finishing point of the hike is the medieval Steinfeld Monastery. It is one of the best-preserved monuments in the Rhineland and has been home to the Salvatorian order for almost 100 years. As a center for art and culture, education and spirituality, Steinfeld Monastery is an important attraction in the region.
