A circular hike in the footsteps of life
The medium-difficulty circular hiking tour "Mystery of Nature and Life" is ten kilometers long and leads through the nature of the Hochkelberg area near Kelberg. Up here on the roof of the Eifel, the themed trail combines almost two thousand years of human history with the dramatic geological history of the volcanic Eifel. Mysterious hollow paths, the traces of an ancient Roman farm that became an important crossroads in the Middle Ages... all of this gives you goosebumps, which are further enhanced by the sight of the wildly proliferating dry moor Mosbrucher Weiher. The "EifelGuck" lookout tower near Sassen and the "Baumelbank" near the village of Köttelbach offer relaxation with far-reaching views.
