Challenging tour to the highest waterfall in the Eifel

The Heimatspur waterfall adventure route is a hike with an adrenaline kick through the rocky gorges and over the breathtaking heights between Kennfus and Bad Bertrich. Over a distance of more than 13 kilometers, it takes you right into the heart of untouched nature. You are welcome to bring your sporting ambitions with you, as the landscape around the Klidinger waterfall - a real natural spectacle at 28 meters high - is a constant up and down of deeply carved valleys and fantastic views. The Maischquelle spring, Stone Age caves and viewing towers such as the Hohenzollenturm, which were once built to crown the wooded heights, create a fairytale atmosphere.

The start and finish of the waterfall adventure route are flanked by a historical gem - they are located in the center of Bad Bertrich, which is lined with magnificent neoclassical buildings and has been famous since Roman times for its volcanically hot healing waters enriched with natural Glauber's salt. The wild growth of box trees on the Palmberg stands in mystical contrast to the carefully designed clarity of the spa gardens at the Electoral Palace of Bad Bertrich. Time and again, the HomeTrail of the Waterfall Adventure Route combines human creativity with the pristine nature of the Eifel.
