HeimatSpur Wendelinusweg
Immerath
The HeimatSpur Wendelinusweg leads over 11.6 kilometers around the Eifel village of Immerath. The trail starts in the center of the village and first runs up to the Trinity Chapel, the landmark of Immerath. From the romantic little chapel, it is impressive to see how Immerath lies in the middle of a gigantic volcanic crater. A magnificent view!
The HeimatSpur Wendelinusweg then dives into the forest on natural paths - a welcome source of shade on hot days. The trail soon leads along the bubbling Üssbach stream. Those looking to cool off can dip their feet in the cool water! The trail then leads past old mills to the beautiful Immerather Maar, which lies untouched and peaceful in the landscape.
From there, the trail leads back to the village.
