Pingen ... what exactly are pingen? The EifelSpur "Pingenwanderweg" circular hike provides some really interesting insights into the topic over the course of around 11 kilometers. So as not to give everything away, this much can be said: Pingen are abandoned ore mines or prospecting sites where iron ore, lead ore or other minerals used to be mined. In the region around Kall and throughout the North Eifel, there are several thousand such pings. It goes without saying that a special themed hike has been dedicated to them.

Thanks to fascinating insights as well as picturesque views, the EifelSpur was awarded the title of "Wanderbares Deutschland" quality hiking trail by the German Hiking Association.
