Due to the extension of the wheelchair hiking trail, restrictions must be expected in the area of the wheelchair hiking trail and therefore also the Roman path from mid-April to mid-June.

The circular trail in the Kürrenberg forest section "Im Geheu" is particularly suitable for use with wheelchairs, walking frames and baby carriages due to its extension. The path is fairly level by Eifel standards. (please note the height profile).
The path surface is firm and largely sanded so that the wheels of the aforementioned aids run quite smoothly.

(Please note, however, that the path is not cleared in winter and is subject to weather conditions).

To optimize the wheelchair trail, there are signs providing information about the route and altitude, as well as a disabled toilet (in the summer months).

In principle, it is open to everyone - whether hikers, walkers, wheelchair users or cyclists.
However, the Mayen town council asks all users to show the necessary consideration for other people. Cyclists should, for example, make themselves known in good time by shouting or ringing the bell.
