Traumpfad Virne-Burgweg

Hikers can expect a fabulously beautiful mixture of dense forest passages, wide meadows and open heathland on the Virne-Burgweg dream trail . "Germany's most beautiful hiking trail 2008" leads past a small chapel up to the mighty ruins of Virneburg Castle. This is followed by several descents and ascents, the latter also offering beautiful views of the landscape; from the Blumenrather Heide even as far as the Nürburg. Narrow paths lead down into the Nitzbach valley and slightly uphill back to the starting point.
