Flashback: 1970. The news of the Beatles' breakup shocks the music scene, plunging millions of “Beatlemaniacs” around the globe into deep depression. Four years later, four young musicians in Frankfurt am Main decide to “just for fun, alongside their studies and careers,” bring the songs of the Beatles back to the stage. They take the records of the Fab Four and painstakingly recreate the finely drawn sound of the Liverpool legend. Early 1976: The “Beat-Boys from Main” dare to step into the spotlight on a relatively cheerful carnival evening at the “Sinkkasten” in Frankfurt. For this occasion, they came up with the name “The Beatles Revival Band.”

A initially bewildered, then crazily enthusiastic audience suddenly found themselves transported back in time to Hamburg’s “Starclub”: A yellow submarine floated through the music shop, Sergeant Pepper danced rock`n`roll, and Eleanor Rigby served colorful drinks while outside, in front of the door, the asphalt of Abbey Road came down. Page one in the picture book of a career. It was like magic: The Beatles Revival Band was alive – and: The Beatles lived again.

A few weeks later: The performance in the completely sold-out Berlin Philharmonie. The press speaks of the “greatest mystery in West German rock history.” The music magazine “Joker” refers to the Beatles Revival Band as the “most successful cover band of all time.” “The Beatles' hits can probably be played live better by the Beatles Revival Band than by John, Paul, George, and Ringo themselves,” declares the “Bravo.” The musicians from Hesse fit into the roles of the originals so authentically that the Beatles' record label wanted to legally prohibit the band for “deceiving the fans.” Ringo Starr offered the group 500,000 DM to pack away their guitars.

2021: After almost 50 years “on the road,” the Beatles Revival Band is both the longest-serving and, measured by the average age of its members, the youngest Beatles tribute band in Germany. Today, the ensemble presents itself as fresh and energetic as in the beginning.

The Beatles Revival Band takes its audience on a journey through the sixties. From “Please, Please Me” to “Sgt. Pepper” to “Let It Be,” there is a tour through the entire creative period of the brilliant quartet from Liverpool.....
