Thousands of years ago, the battle of the elements raged in the Vulkaneifel. Massive explosions shook the Eifel region, creating maars, "Drees" (tuff cones), and a unique landscape. Landscape mentor Reimund Schmitz will take you on the Drees hiking trail around Daun, where volcanism is still very much alive today. Discover the bubbling mineral springs of the Eifel and learn more about their formation - tasting included!
