The Niederscheidweiler theatre group presents a comedy in 3 acts in Moselle dialect: ‘This time something with class!’ - by Andreas Heck.
About the play:
For years, the local theatre association has been putting on farmer's plays and shallow rural comedies for its regular audience with great success. But that is about to change. This time, they finally want to put on a play of a higher calibre to show the audience that they are capable of more than the usual love triangle between farmer, farmhand and priest. It quickly becomes clear that a funny, mischievous crime classic from the ‘Father Brown’ series is to be staged and a professional but completely unknown director is hired via the Internet. Unfortunately, numerous obstacles are placed in the way of the theatre association's ambitious project and the director doesn't quite meet the actors' expectations either. The rehearsals for ‘Father Brown and the Mystery of the Old Countess’ in the unfinished set of the library of ‘Chesterfield Manor’ become more and more of a disaster.
