Familientag Höfen im Nationalpark Eifel
Dec 1, 2024
Monschau-Höfen
The events are primarily aimed at children of primary school age. Small children should sit in a back carrier instead of a pram. The programme is also gladly adapted to the needs of visually impaired and blind children as well as children who have limited mobility or learning difficulties. Depending on interest, age, weather and season, the programme develops with the group on site. Playfully, they go on a discovery tour to find answers to exciting questions: How can I actually recognise a wild forest? How can I find my way in the wilderness? How old is the water in the national park? Who lives under the trees? Are there dangerous animals in the national park? How do animals actually hunt? On the hikes accompanied by certified forest guides, children can use simple tools to uncover secrets along the way, learn about healing, poisonous and delicious plants, read the tracks of wild animals in the National Park, develop curiosity about the beauties of nature, learn about the interplay of the natural elements or simply spend a (dis)exciting time together with the family in the forest. Please indicate this when registering.
