Iris Hilgers is a very nature-loving person. With her open and level-headed nature, she sees unknown things as a challenge that she is happy to take on. In 2009, she discovered photography, which from then on became her greatest passion. She soon focussed on "lost places", discovering the history of individual locations and capturing the morbid decay with her camera.
For a few years now, Iris Hilgers has mainly focussed on people photography and combines this with unusual lighting moods. Every photograph tells a story. If the lighting conditions allow, she works with natural light.
The exhibition can be seen from 28 September 2024 to March 2025. The wArtehalle is open around the clock.
