"Grün" Jahreskonzert d. Musikfreunde Altrich/Wengerohr
May 10, 2025
Altrich
“GREEN” - this is the motto under which the Musikfreunde Altrich-Wengerohr invite you to their concert on Saturday, May 10, 2025 in the Altreia-Halle in Altrich. The concert program of the Musikfreunde Altrich-Wengerohr under the direction of their conductor Marcel Richards is as versatile as the meaning and connections with the word “green”.
The first part of the concert focuses on works by composers Bert Appermont, Thiemo Kraas and Otto M. Schwarz. Inspired by Celtic music, the Belgian composer Bert Appermont created “The Green Hill”, a work for euphonium and orchestra, a musical journey through the green landscapes of Ireland and Scotland. The description of a forest walk by German composer Thiemo Krass brings the concert motto onto the track of nature and the environment before the warning of the impending climate catastrophe is played out effectively and impressively with the work “When nature strikes back”.'
The second part of the concert is also varied and enjoyable. Traditional brass band music and evergreens from the history of rock and pop round off this evening's ambitious motto and program. The audience can therefore look forward to a varied, eventful, perhaps also thought-provoking, but nevertheless entertaining concert evening. Admission is free
