Half-day hike: Around Neunkirchen-Steinborn in the Volcanic Eifel with Jürgen and Chico

The Eifelverein Prüm invites you to a hike in Steinborn and Neunkirchen in the Volcanic Eifel on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024. The start and finish of the hike is the sports field in Neunkirchen. From there we hike to the Neunkirchen mill. We go along forest and field paths past the Laachmühle to the Steinborner Drees (Sauerbrunnen), to the village square in Steinborn, where we take a break. From here it is now a steady, slightly uphill walk past the Steinborn barbecue hut to the Riemerich mountain, where we can enjoy the great view with views of the Ernstberg, the Scharteberg, the Hochkelberg and other volcanoes. From here we go back to the starting point at the sports field. The approx. 8.5 km long hike is easy to moderately difficult and mainly takes place on well-developed forest and field paths. Suitable footwear, hiking clothing appropriate to the weather and enough drinks, possibly a snack, are recommended. There is no final stop planned, but it can be made in Dockweiler at the Knusperhaus Utters.

Departure in carpools is on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Prümer-Sommer-Platz (Tiergartenstr. 54, Prüm). Carpooling is available for a fee of €5.00. Otherwise the hike is free of charge.
