Happy Prümtal - car free sunday
Sep 7, 2025
Prüm
Between Olzheim and Waxweiler this means on the first Sunday in September: car-free lanes for cyclists, skaters and hikers as well as numerous activities and attractions in the towns along the 27 km route. The starting signal for the car-free Sunday will be given at 10 a.m. in the two starting and finishing points of Olzheim and Waxweiler. In between, the beautiful route meanders through the Prümtal via Willwerath, Hermespand, Prüm, Niederprüm, Watzerath, Pittenbach, Pronsfeld, Lünebach, Merlscheid, Kinzenburg and Heilhausen - seen from the direction of Olzheim. From which starting point you want to experience the Prümtal is of course up to you and is equally beautiful. In any case, a stop is worthwhile in the individual places. Because the municipalities and clubs will again provide a full program for all things cycling this year and create a "folk festival atmosphere". There is also fun and entertainment for children. In some places it's "live" to the point, whether with rock, pop or brass band music. The food and drink stands with hearty, home-made Eifel delicacies ensure that the pace of the participants will not be too high in any place. Numerous fire brigades, police and the DRK will again ensure safety and that everything runs smoothly. The organizers are looking forward to numerous visitors everywhere.
