The music:
When "raan" was founded in 2015, the two musicians Rainer Berger (flute/alto flute/bass flute; EWI) and Andi Reisner (electric guitar) aimed primarily to express their diverse musical experiences and preferences in new works, while also allowing ample room for improvisation. With their compositions influenced by contemporary music (folk, jazz, ambient, and krautrock), "raan" redefines the repertoire for the flute-guitar ensemble. Additionally, the electronic wind instrument EWI is used as another sound source. Sound tinkerer Andi Reisner extracts sounds from his electric guitar that fit the respective composition. Rainer Berger not only masters the classical craft of flute sound, but also expands his sound spectrum with beatbox sounds and other contemporary techniques... It is an integral part of the concept for the upcoming project in 2025 to give each church its own work and to tailor the program to the specific spaces.
The planned concert series "Eternally Sounds Time" enhances the rural area. It is designed to be intergenerational and offers those who are less mobile the opportunity to experience culture in their immediate surroundings. Additionally, the consciously free offer of concerts and(!) receptions enables the participation of those who often feel excluded for cost reasons. "Eternally Sounds Time" thus also has an integrative effect, which seems significant in a time of increasing separation among different communities.
