On this evening, Michael Schikowski explores the phenomenal experiences of beautiful books. He discusses, explains and reads the most recently published, exceptionally designed books. Each book has a unique quality in terms of content and craftsmanship. The new releases from the legendary Other Library, the landscape books from Hamburg newcomer KJM and the children's classics from Kindermann Verlag will be presented. Also included are a number of other fiction publishers such as Kanon Verlag. In books, text and book design enter into a reflective connection that makes every book a special experience for the mind and the senses: ‘You open the book, the book opens you!’
