Mayen
On Easter Saturday, April 19th, the Mayen mining site once again transforms into a fascinating light landscape. The "Illuminated Mining Site" is one of the absolute highlights of the museum year each year, captivating numerous visitors.
As twilight falls, the extensive grounds shine with a mysterious glow. Historic cranes, the imposing basalt walls, and the idyllic Silver Lake are artistically illuminated, immersing the area in a moody atmosphere. A special highlight is the numerous stone artworks of the Lapidea area, which come to life anew in the light presentation. Under the motto "Experience Art Differently," the unique connection of light and stone is impressively staged. The event begins at dusk at 8:45 PM. The designated tour starts at the entrance of the Erlebniswelten Grubenfeld, An den Mühlsteinen 7 in Mayen, where the Mayen archers will also provide for the well-being of visitors.
Tickets for the event are available in the shop at: https://www.fashion-disco.de/shop/joomla/index.php/shop/tickets.
