This year, an extraordinary series of events will take place in a total of 11 locations in the Eifel region from May 10 to November 7. The musicians of the Ensemble favori will then travel to a total of 11 unique churches and chapels in the Eifel, presenting a program of concerts, theater, and guided tours. The events in the different locations will repeatedly engage with the unique sites and architectures of the chapels and churches of the Eifel towns.

The Ensemble favori consists of artists Christoph Barth (lute and theorbo), Johannes Geffert (harpsichord), Willi Kronenburg (organ), Sabine Weber (viol da gamba), and actress Hildegard Meier, who will bring the Eifel monuments to life during this series of events, using sounds, texts, stories, and figures.

The concert on Saturday, July 5 at 6:30 PM in St. Luzia, Eschfeld in the Islek is a highlight of the event series through the Eifel and is titled "Frescoes for the Village – Along the Walls with Eschfeld Local Marlene Wanken and Resonating Sounds from the Early Baroque." There, the local tour guide Marlene Wanken will welcome visitors to an extraordinary church tour and explain why some villagers allowed a painting pastor to borrow their faces for the holy Peter, Paul, or other saints. Following that, there will be a concert featuring viola da gamba, lute, and theorbo.

Tickets for the events are available at the entrance on the respective event day – always as long as the seating capacity allows. Reservations are not possible.
Ticket prices are 20 euros (concessions 15 €).
