Leonie Klein, born in 1993 in Wittlich, has won the ‘Jugend Musiziert’ competition several times. She became a junior student at the Karlsruhe University of Music in 2011 and completed her master's degree in percussion with honours in 2019. She is currently working on her dissertation on contemporary music for percussion solo.

Her musical development has been shaped by her collaboration with composers such as Helmut Lachenmann and Peter Eötvös. Under Eötvös, she performed his percussion concerto ‘Speaking Drums’. Leo- nie Klein has received scholarships from several renowned institutions and received a sponsorship award from the Friends of the Karlsruhe University of Music for her commitment to contemporary music. In 2022, she was accepted into the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation. She was nominated for the Opus Klassik with her debut album ‘Gathering Thunders’ and received the Mamlok Prize for interpreters of contemporary music in 2020. She is a Yamaha Artist.

Fritz Hauser, born in Basel in 1953, develops solo programmes for drums and percussion that are performed around the world, works with architecture, theatre, dance and composes for ensembles and soloists. Hauser has opened up new spaces in percussion music and is constantly searching for new worlds of sound. He was also awarded the City of Basel Culture Prize in 2012 and the Basel-Landschaft Music Prize in 1996. In summer 2018, Hauser was composer-in-residence at the Lucerne Festival 2018. 2022 Hauser received the Swiss Music Prize. Leonie Klein took part in Hauser's ‘Drumming Tinguely’ project in Basel and has now commissioned him to compose a programme for two percussion instruments.
